Niall Williams - Irish Writer from Kiltumper, Ireland

Niall is offering two workshops in fiction writing this summer which will take place in Kiltumper. The workshops will run over three days: 4-6 July and again 2-4 August. The workshops will be non-residential, but details of a full range accommodation will be provided. Lunch and teas included in the course fee.

Keeping Faith
This workshop will revolve around establishing and maintaining true narrative voice. Participants will be invited to send short samples of their work in advance. The course will be a blend of group work with exercises, as well as individual sessions with Niall. Kiltumper Cottage is ideally suited with several quiet corners indoors and out for writing space. Numbers will be limited to ten.

Making a Beginning
The aim of this workshop will be to assist those writers who are struggling to find a voice in fiction. Topics will include different narrative approaches and styles, helping each individual to identify their own way of telling.

The aim of both workshops is to encourage writers in the tranquil surrounding of Kiltumper where Niall and Christine have been writing for twenty years.

Cost: €375.00 Euro (275 Euro for two days)
